Our relationship with MCI Group is becoming stronger. We now have the North American office trained and active in our partnership. The sourcing team is managed out of Dallas, Texas, with contracting managers throughout North America. Nic Wood and Penni LeRoy manage the MCI partnership in their respective regions.
BENEFITS & TERMS OF THE MCI and Preferred Hotels and Resorts AGREEMENT

- (2,500 team members, 61 offices in 31 countries, 6,000 events annually representing 1.5 M attendees and 2.7 million hotel nights booked). Looking at opportunities – greatest activity appears to be from:
- U.S., Canada, Switzerland, France, Belgium offices followed by Dublin, UK, Netherlands, Munich/Berlin,
MCI (Geneva) merged with Wyndham Jade (Dallas)in 2017, to create MCI Group. Wyndham Jade was known for their citywide convention management and association business, with an incentive division based in Iowa. With the Merger this group has grown to book meetings all over the world in every size totaling over 2.7 M room nights booked. Jason Ware leads the US sourcing team, based mainly in Dallas and the SE.
Preferred Hotels & Resorts member hotels will benefit from the MCI Preferred Partner agreement in the following ways:
- All MCI team members are aware of our partnership, including the commitments and benefits to the parties. MCI US team works directly Nic Wood, Vice President of Sales, EU, Middle East and Asia relationships and offices; and Penni LeRoy, Director of Sales, Dallas Texas, US relationship and offices.
- Preferred Partner Placement: Leads will come directly to member hotels via Cvent, with PHR copied as the GSO.
- Preferred Hotels and Resorts will appear in all searches meeting applicable search criteria; Clearly distinguished as a Preferred Partner.
- Preferred Hotels and Resorts will appear above other hotels chains, with the exception of Global Primary Partners.
- Preferred Hotels & Resorts will be listed as the GSO from the initial inquiry as a result of the preferred agreement. By being copied on the lead as a GSO, this is a direct request to include our team in the response and with ongoing communication. They request information to be streamlined and centralized with the GSO. Please be sure to keep Penni or Nic in copy on any communications regarding active RFPs with MCI
- MCI team engagement and presentations: As a preferred partner for MCI, PHR is afforded direct meet and greet presentations within MCI offices. These opportunities to meet the MCI team in office are not available for hotels outside of the preferred partner agreement and must be set through the GSO.
- The Preferred Hotels & Resorts Member Hotels will be required to pay commission to MCI at the rate of 10% on guestroom accommodation (excluding taxes, fees, assessments, and CAP or other rebates and gratuities).
