UPDATE: ACTION NEEDED: SYNXIS CR DATA MIGRATION ON MAY 21, 2022

Dear Sabre Hospitality Customers,

SynXis Central Reservations will soon be migrating from Sabre-managed data centers to our Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Here’s what you need to know to avoid disruption.

Sabre FAQ’s listed here

WHAT IS HAPPENING AND WHEN?

The migration of the SynXis CR (cCRS) from local data centers to the Google Cloud Platform, will take place on Saturday, May 21, 2022. The migration requires an extended outage that begins at 3:00AM CT / 8:00AM GMT and will last for approximately 6-8 hours. Once the system is restored, you may resume normal business.

Sabre will be conducting post-migration testing, validation, and monitoring, for at least 72 hours after system access is restored.

WHAT ACTION NEEDS TO BE TAKEN?

  1. Review the details below and safelist our new IP addresses before the migration begins
  2. Plan for an extended outage and manual operations if appropriate
  3. It’s recommended that you complete any planned bulk processing, synchronization activities, and/or running of promotions before May 14, 2022, or start after May 25, 2022
  4. Join one of our customer webinars to learn more about the migration and get your questions answered by Sabre Hospitality leaders. Register to attend here:
  • NAM / EMEA: May 11 9:00AM CT / 2:00PM GMT - bit.ly/3uSpVzi
  • APAC: May 12 9:00AM CST and SGT / 10:00AM JST / 11:00AM AEST - bit.ly/3rKZI3D

What can I expect?

Along with the actions listed above, you can expect to resume normal day-to-day activities after the system access is restored on May 21, 2022.

The URL and user credentials used today will be the same after the migration.

If you fail to safelist the new IP addresses, your connectivity will be interrupted. Reservation delivery and integration to certain systems such as revenue management, property management, and profile management could be impacted. This applies only to customers that currently safelist for incoming Sabre traffic.

TECHNOLOGY ADMINS: SAFELIST IP ADDRESSES

  • These changes are managed at your property. For this reason, Sabre is unable to assist in identifying any safelisting you have established. Please work with your IT and technical support team (and website service provider or developer, if applicable) to determine if these changes apply to your organization.
  • Keep existing safelisted IP addresses for incoming Sabre traffic until after the GCP migration is complete. We will share the recommended timing for the removal of existing safelisted IP addresses at a later time.
  • There will be no change to WAF Imperva (customer-originated messages to Sabre) or Sabre’s email server (SMTP) as part of the GCP migration.
  • Sabre Partner Management Teams are directly engaged with our certified integration and channel partners to ensure they are safelisting the new IP Addresses to avoid interruption in service or connectivity.

More information will be shared in additional communications leading up to the migration. If you have any questions in the interim, please contact your Account Representative.
